The identical twin sisters KETI + BOYANA STOYANOVA were born in 1980 in Plovdiv/Bulgaria.
They began playing the guitar at the age of 10. In 1994 they were admitted to the "Dobrin Petkov" School of Music in Plovdiv/Bulgaria, which they graduated with excellence in 1998. Their teachers were Mariya Gemedzhieva and Petko Genkov. Since that time they both have given many recitals and have won prizes from various competitions.
From 1998 to 2007 KETI and BOYANA studied in Bremen at the State College of Music in the master class of Prof. Bernard Hebb, which they graduated with Diploma and excellence.
Their training in the institution of higher education was supplemented by the master courses conducted by Prof. Carlos Bonell, John W. Duarte, Roland Dyens, Margarita Es-carpa, Prof. Oscar Ghiglia, Antigoni Goni, Prof. Bernard Hebb, Celso Machado, Carlo Marchione, Sonja Prunnbauer, Pepe Romero, Monika and Jurgen Rost, Pavel Steidl, Finn Svit, David Tanenbaum, Michael Troster, etc.
KETI + BOYANA STOYANOVA are laureates of many competitions, such as:
- 1994 KETI + BOYANA: Encouraging prize at the First International Young Guitarists Festival in Shumen/Bulgaria
- 1995 KETI + BOYANA: Encouraging prize at the International Festival on the Classical Guitar in Plovdiv /Bulgaria
- 1996 BOYANA: Encouraging prize at the "Youth Competition of the Music Academy" and special prize of the Spanish Embassy in Sofia at the International Festival on the Classical Guitar in Plovdiv / Bulgaria
- 1997 KETI: 1st prize, and BOYANA: 3rd prize at the International Festival on the Classical Guitar in Plovdiv/Bulgaria
- 2002 KETI + BOYANA: Laureates at the 11th International Guitar Duo Competition in Mon-telimar/France
- 2003 KETI + BOYANA: 1st prize at the "Open Strings"Festival in Osnabruck
- 2005 KETI + BOYANA: 3rd prize at the "Young Energy Competition for Mixed Ensembles"in Bremen
DUO STOYANOVA constantly receive invitations for concerts all over the world, as jury members at competitions and teachers in master courses of the most celebrated guitar festivals, such as:

Periodically KETI + BOYANA STOYANOVA also give concerts solo or duo with an orchestra.
Their first, highly appreciated by the press CD "New York Fantasy"appeared in October 2004, published by Acoustic Music Records. Their curriculum vitae ends with the radio productions, such as on Bremen radio and the German radio.
At present KETI + BOYANA work on the preparing, premiere and recording of 10 sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti in collaboration with Jovan Pesec from Austria.
KETI + BOYANA STOYANOVA play the Hannabach-Guitars.
From 2002 DUO STOYANOVA are responsible for the advertisement of the "SAVAREZ" strings producer.
